We head home tomorrow knowing that we did our best! God is good all the time. We have enjoyed a great time of fellowship with the team and hard work too.

The kitchen in process of the house and the kitchen just about done. Hurray.

The other big job. Lots and Lots of rotten wood under the house. JR had quite a job jacking up the house and having the crew replace all the joist from the inside out!! This is a bedroom!! And the same bedroom with the new carpet being put in after the new floor and walls and paint.

Our internet has been very spotty so we have saved our time on keeping up with emails. I will recap our 3 weeks if the net allows.

This is the kitchen of one of our jobs. No cupboards and lots of rotten wood. And this is the finished kitchen. God is good and we were blessed to be able to make it this good. The owner is pleased

We arrived in fine shape in Dickinson TX on Wed. It's just north of Galveston and only a few blocks from Galveston Bay. We are staying at a church. Some are in the class rooms for bedrooms and space for 6 RV's next to the church. We have seen the work sites and are reminded again how very needy these families are. We will need to work hard for the next 3 weeks to finish up the two that have been started and a new one we will start on Monday. We would like to get them finished before the Christmas break as we will be the last team before the holidays.

We stopped to see an ice cream maker. It was great!! I've never seen so many flavors in one place and all of them good.

We really enjoyed a stop at the LBJ ranch and Texas White house. The ranch has an airstrip long enough for Air Force One Half. Really a peaceful lovely place in the central hill country of Texas.

Carlsbad Caverns was amazing. God must have had a great deal of fun with this.

Thur. brought us to a pistachios farm near Alamogordo

Our first stop was Villaneuva State Park about 30 miles south of Las Vegas, New Mex. It was a lovely little valley, very old world looking.
It's time to leave home again for DRS work so of course it snowed the day before but not to worry we were able to leave on Nov 10.

We have been enjoying the yard and working hard getting the gardens and yard ready for winter. Lots of apples for the pie making and apple sauce jars.

Aaaa Home sweet home. The view of our valley from the the front. What a treasure of a place to live, God is good. We have been home almost 2 weeks and have worked hard to get plugged back in and catch up with life here.

This dear lady was able to come down into her basement for the first time in a very long time when we reinstalled the hand rail. So the new basement was a delightful surprise for her to see.

We have finished 2 weeks of work and are thrilled with some of the clients spiffy new basement walls.

One last hug for them before we headed back to Munster to get to WORK!

Tom helping in the garage, man time so grease on the clothes and hands.

A little pile on Papa time for the big kids.

We made 32 jelly jars of raspberry jam for the Klaver Klan. Lots of fun.

Sat, we went raspberry picking with the 4 big kids and Jeff. We all had milk jugs around our shoulders to hold the berries.

Our first weekend break from work was a trip to Ypsilanti to meet our newest granddaughter, Aimee Lynn. And yes of course ,yet another perfect grandchild!

We are very comfortable staying in the New Hope CRC Manse in Lansing IL. So far all of work has been in basements that were flooded. The clean out is already done so we are rebuilding walls and rocking and painting. We have enjoyed working with some old friends and meeting some new and also some very nice clients.

We have arrived in Munster, IN safely. The team we are relieving has left and our 3 week team will arrive tomorrow. We have visited all the current work sights and are making plans for our work next Monday. We are in a beautiful home and the area is very comfortable and peaceful. We are hoping to be a blessing to the families we will help. The flood was 2 years ago, heavy rains from hurricane Ike. Amazing that it got this far north. So it flooded Galveston and Indiana too.

Our next stop was in Clinton, IA to visit dearest Geo and Helen. Fulton, IL has a real working windmill built in Holland and it was very interesting to tour.

The inner workings are huge and quite a wonder of workmanship in wood.

The summer is rushing by. We left for Munster, IN on Aug 23 for a 3 1/2 week work assignment for DRS. We stopped in the Amana colonies in Iowa on the way and had a wonderful German lunch at the Ronneburg Restaurant. We enjoyed the sights for the afternoon.

The McCann's came to spend 3 weeks with us while they moved to Washington State. What a fun time. Hannah had her 2nd birthday while they were here. Andrew learned to drive the small tractor and got the mail for us everyday. And Hollyann learned to water ski!

We got a new roof. Hurray! Boy it was hot for those guys and they did a great job.

It's summer in Colo and we enjoyed a fishing trip to Rampart Reservoir.

Wow we are just about finished with our landscape project too. We created a new raised garden area and covered the rest of the ratty lawn with gravel. No more mowing!!

One of my projects is turning old jeans into purses. This one is on it's way to Nicaragua with Jeannie to give the women she works with an idea to make and sell.

The time is flying by. We just hugged and said farewell to Joel and Jeannie Huyser for another year. The ten days with them has raced by. They are our dear missionaries friends and such an encouragment to us. God speed dear friends.

We are settling in back at home and thankful for a wonderful trip and safety and God's blessings. When we left MI we went to Clinton, IA area to visit dear friends and harvest some worms for my bins back home. From there we went to Wisc to visit Aunties and Uncles and cousins. Nice time to visit and wonderful welcome. While we were in Wisc. we toured the Jung Seed company. Very interesting and fun to see how the little seeds are packaged and stored and all the other details for seed catalogs.
