The bedroom but the closet slide is in, in this picture so there is more room around the bed.
From front to back.
Our new venture mobile.
And so we headed home with our new MH.
Wild AZ burro near the campground
The AZ sunset!
Lots of room inside.
With much sadness we left Galveston and more sadness our beloved motorhome gave us much trouble. After spending time and $$ in Ft Worth we made it home but decided to trade the old girl off. Just 10 days later we headed to Phoenix to buy the next home for our adventures. The first evening of ownship we spent in a state park just north of Phoenix. God will provide!
We had the great priviledge of celebrating with Jasper and Dorothy at the "Last Nail" party at their finished house.
And another house that needed some help.
The weekends are for sightseeing and we were able to tour a retired off shore oil platform. Very interesting.

A new deck for a disabled lady.
Sept was the time for another DRS trip. This time to Galveston, TX for hurricane Ike recovery work. We had wonderful team members and clients. This house was owned by a very dear older couple, we really loved.

Bye Bye Ely, MN. What a great time and beautiful spot of the world.
Ken and Joann, the partners in this crazy adventure.
We actually were up a creek BUT we did have the paddles.
Doing dish back at camp. This is roughing it, where's the dishwasher?
The scenery was amazing. God did good!
We didn't catch many but the ones we got were great.
The fisherman and the fog, from our camp
Harv and Ken trying to find those darn fish in all that water.
What to do, What to do? Our big adventure of canoeing the Boundary waters began. The lakes were low so the putin was muddy! Harv and Joanne are trying to figure out the best spot.

Clearly this is a brief overview of our trip to The Village of Hope. God's kingdom is so vast and His love is so great that a few pictures can't begin to capture all that He has done for all of us. Please pray for the children and Ben and Kathleen the missionaries with God's hand on them and a big "Yes" to the call.
And all God's children said Amen.
The oldest are 12 and the youngest are 5 and all are in school in the village.
There are also aunties that help the mama's during the day and fill in for them when the mama's get 5 days a month off.
They really are smiling happy kids.
Each cabin has a mama and 8 or 9 children that truly become a family.
And most of all it's about the children of the Lord in the Village of Hope
We were priviledged to walk to the village next door to the home of Maureen. Maureen is very talented with sewing and crafting and will lead the group after we are gone. Even her home as painted perfectly.
Meet Doreen, one of the aunties of the Village who made this gathered skirt for one of the girls.
Our team of Mark, Sharlene, me and George. Gideon's army as Mark put it. Thank you God and Eastern Hills Community Church for sending us to meet these children of yours.
The trees and very tall grass
All the cabbage to eat and sell at the market.
A large tomate field even though we are here in the winter. The mornings are in the 50's and days 70 to 80.
The farming part of the village is thriving. The corn is a staple and looks like Iowa.
One of our favorite palm trees. (We think it may be a hidden cell tower, just kidding)
Yup they really carry big loads on their heads.
It is the dry season but this garden reminded us that we are in a really beautiful topical area and that God has graced it with plants that take your breath away.
On Sat. we went to Lusaka for the fun of shopping there. These are shops along the road.
Laying out patterns and understand the straight grain of the material is a new thought, but the opportunity to make flannel PJ's for their kids is a delight. The daily ladies group is mostly the Bible study from the Nyrenda Village next to us. They are the Chimwemwe ladies.
The days dawned with red and great beauty. It is the dry season so the dust is heavy and the mornings clear and cool.
We started with 8 machines of all kinds. Each had to be threaded and bobbins wound a little different that the other, so that was a learning curve.
Let the work begin. My task was to introduce the ladies to sewing with sewing machines. The good people that donated machines will be glad to know that the ladies were very excited about them and got right to work.
Daily lunches were at the "Take Away" and wow we ate gooooood!
